Today was kind of an uneventful day. For breakfast we made the 'big bowl' again and added much more fruits to it to add flavor. Again the bowl was HUGE... It was much more than Leigh or I could eat... as Leigh left for work she gave me her leftovers. I was working at home again today so throughout the morning I continued to pick at the bowl. As time progressed I realized that it was 2pm and I had not had lunch, so all I ate for breakfast and lunch was cereal.
For dinner we decided to go with leftover lasagna. Now I have to confess, the first go round, while good, the lasagna was rather dry. The solution was to make a side pot of sauce and over spice! Spice is going to be key on this diet. Added crushed red pepper, Cayenne, along with the standard italian seasonings. The lasagna tasted much better.
For dessert... go figure! We have done ice cream so often for our before bed snack. And I wonder why the LBs kept piling on! So tonight I had an orange, yes an orange... And believe it or not, it was actually good and filling. This might be my new before bed indulgence.

Spices definetly add to any meal and several offer great benefits. Try tumeric for lowering cholestrol.
